SECTION 1 CLASSES
AND MOTORCYCLE ELIGIBILITY
Vintage
1.1 THE VINTAGE CLASSES
INCLUDES ALL MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR 1975 AND EARLIER.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.2 SUSPENSION TRAVEL OR AXLE TRAVEL IS LIMITED TO 7" ON THE FRONT
FORKS AND 4" OF AXLE TRAVEL IN THE REAR.
1.2.1 ALL MODIFICATIONS MUST BE CONSISTENT WITH THE CLASS AND TIME
PERIOD.
1.2.2 FRAMES, FORKS, ENGINES, ECT. MUST BE PRODUCED IN 1975 OR
EARLIER.
1.3 THE VINTAGE SMALL BORE CLASS INCLUDES ALL 0-200 CC MOTORCYCLES
MODEL YEAR 1975 AND EARLIER. ALL VINTAGE CLASS RULES APPLY.
1.4 VINTAGE OVER 60 IS A SINGLE ABILITY LEVEL CLASS FOR RIDERS 60
YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ON ANY VINTAGE LEGAL MOTORCYCLE.
1.5 VINTAGE OVER 70 IS A SINGLE ABILITY CLASS FOR RIDERS OVER 70
YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ON ANY VINTAGE LEGAL MOTORCYCLE.
Gran Prix (post vintage)
1.8 THE GP2 CLASS CONSISTS OF ALL MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR 1981 AND
EARLIER.
1.9 THE GP3 CLASS CONSISTS OF ALL MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR 1989 AND
EARLIER.
1.10 THE GP3 SMALL BORE CLASS CONSISTS OF ALL MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR
1989 AND EARLIER 200CC AND LESS.
1.11 THE GP4 CLASS CONSISTS OF ALL MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR 1997 AND
EARLIER.
1.12 THE GP4 SMALL BORE CLASS CONSISTS OF ALL MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR
1997 AND EARLIER 200cc AND LESS.
1.13 GP5 CONSISTS OF ALL TWO STROKE AND AIR COOLED FOUR STROKE
MOTORCYCLES MODEL YEAR 2008 AND EARLIER. NO LIQUID COOLED FOUR VALVE
FOUR STOKE MOTORCYCLES QUALIFY FOR THIS CLASS.
1.14 NO LATER MODEL FRAMES, FORKS, OR ENGINES MAY BE USED UNLESS
THEY ARE PERIOD CORRECT AND IN THE SPIRIT OF MODIFICATIONS AVAILABLE
IN THE YEAR DESIGNATION OF THESE CLASSES.
ANY LEVEL BIKE QUALIFIES FOR ANY CLASS ABOVE ITS OWN LEVEL.
1.15 GP OVER 60 IS A SINGLE ABILITY LEVEL CLASS FOR RIDERS 60 YEARS
OF AGE AND OLDER ON ANY GP3 (1989 AND OLDER) MOTORCYCLE.
1.16 GP OVER 70 IS A SINGLE ABILITY LEVEL CLASS FOR RIDERS 70 YEARS
OF AGE AND OLDER ON ANY GP3 (1989 AND OLDER) MOTORCYCLE.
1.17 ALL STAR 125 IS AN EXHIBITION CLASS, CONSISTING OF ANY YEAR
125CC (NO BIG BORES OR STROKERS ALLOWED) OR SMALLER BIKE AND ANY
SKILL LEVEL.
1.18 THE XR200 CLASS IS AN EXHIBITION CLASS FOR ANY FOUR STROKE
MOTORCYCLE OF 230CC OR LESS, REGARDLESS OF MODIFICATIONS OR YEAR OF
MANUFACTURE.
SECTION 2 TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS, MODIFICATIONS AND SAFETY
2.1 ALL MODIFICATIONS MUST BE CONSISTENT WITH CLASS AND PERIOD.
2.2 EVERY MEMBER OF TVRC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT EQUIPMENT
IS IN PROPER REPAIR.
2.3 TVRC MEMBERS SHALL OBEY ALL POSTED RACETRACK RULES AND PRACTICE
GOOD SAFETY HABITS WHILE ENGAGED IN COMPETITION.
2.4 CENTER AND/OR SIDE STANDS ARE NOT PERMITTED AND MUST BE REMOVED.
2.5 ALL TWO STROKE MACHINES MUST BE FITTED WITH EFFICIENT SILENCERS.
2.6 ALL MACHINES MUST DISPLAY THREE NUMBER PLATES, WITH CONTRASTING
COLOR SCHEMES LEGIBLE TO SCORE KEEPERS, ONE MOUNTED ON THE FRONT AND
ONE ON EACH SIDE MOUNTED IN A WAY THAT IT WILL NOT BE BLOCKED BY THE
RIDER.
SECTION 3 RIDER ELIGIBILITY AND RACING NUMBERS
3.1 “C” LEVEL BEGINNER IS FOR TRUE BEGINNERS, AND CERTAIN LADIES AND
RIDERS OF ADVANCED AGE.
RIDERS
WHO HAVE ANY PRIOR RACING EXPERIENCE MAY NOT SIGN UP AS A "C" LEVEL
BEGINNER RIDER AT HIS OR HER FIRST RACE WITHOUR SPECIFIC PERMISSION
OF A TVRC OFFICER.
IF
YOU HAVE EVER RACED ANY DISCIPLINE PRIOR, YOU MUST SIGN UP AS AN "A"
or "B" AND THEN BE OBSERVED BY THE OFFICERS. A DECISION WILL THEN BE
MADE BASED UPON RIDER ABILITY.
3.2 ABILITY CATEGORIES ARE "A", "B" and "C". ADVANCED & EXPERT LEVEL
RIDERS WILL BE PLACED IN THE "A" CATEGORY. "B" IS FOR OLDER
INTERMEDIATES AND ABSOLUTE AMATUER SKILL LEVEL RIDERS. "C" IS FOR
BEGINNER AND ABSOLUTE NOVICE RIDERS. OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIC SMALL
BORE AND XR200 CLASSES, ANY SIZE MOTORCYCLE MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR
PARTICIPATION AS LONG AS IT COMPLIES WITH T.V.R.C. GUIDELINES
PUBLISHED IN THIS RULE BOOK.
3.3 A RIDER MAY MOVE UP A SKILL LEVEL AT THEIR DISCRETION. A RIDER
MAY MOVE DOWN A SKILL LEVEL ONLY WITH T.V.R.C. OFFICERS PERMISSION.
NOTE* THE RIDER, NOT THE MOTORCYCLE IS THE ENTRY. A RIDER MAY SWITCH
MOTORCYCLES AS LONG AS THE MOTORCYCLES NUMBER IS THE SAME, OR THE
SCOREKEEPER TRACKSIDE IS INFORMED OF THE NEW NUMBER. OTHERWISE IT IS
ELIGIBLE FOR PROTEST. IT IS THE RIDERS RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY THE
SCOREKEEPER TRACKSIDE AND THE SECRETARY OF T.V.R.C WHEN THERE IS A
CHANGE OF NUMBER. THIS MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED MOTO.
SECTION 4 SCORING
4.1 SERIES SCORING
SERIES SCORING WILL BE By Moto AS FOLLOWS:
25 POINTS FOR FIRST, 22 POINTS FOR SECOND, 20 POINTS FOR THIRD,19
POINTS FOR FOURTH, 18 POINTS FOR FIFTH, 17 POINTS FOR SIXTH, 16
POINTS FOR SEVENTH, 15 POINTS FOR EIGHTH, 14 POINTS FOR NINTH, 13
POINTS FOR TENTH, 12 POINTS FOR ELEVENTH, 11 POINTS FOR TWELTH,
10 POINTS FOR THIRTEENTH, 9 POINTS FOR FOURTENTH, 8 POINTS
FOR FIFTHTENTH, 7 POINTS FOR SIXTENTH, 6 POINTS FOR SEVENTENTH,
5 POINTS FOR EIGHTTENTH, 4 POINTS FOR NINETENTH, 3 POINTS FOR
TWENTIETH.
LAST PLACE POINTS (NOT TO EXCEED 15 POINTS) FOR DID NOT FINISH (DNF)
MEANING YOU HAVE TO FULLY COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE LAP
*0 POINTS FOR DID NOT START (DNS)*
4.2 SCORING ERRORS MUST BE REPORTED TO T.V.R.C. OFFICERS PRIOR TO
THE NEXT RACE EVENT.
4.3. IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, ONE MOTO WILL DECIDE AN
EVENT.
SECTION 5 PROTESTS
5.1 A TVRC MEMBER MAY PROTEST A RIDER OR MOTORCYCLE IN HIS OR HER
CLASS ONLY. THE PROTEST MUST BE ON THE SAME DAY OF THE EVENT. THE
PROTEST PROCESS IS AS FOLLOWS:
5.2 THE PROTESTER MUST INFORM THE TECH INSPECTOR OR AN OFFICER OF
TVRC, WHICHEVER IS APPLICABLE.
5.3 AN INVESTIGATION WILL BE CONDUCTED IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FACTS
CONCERNING THE INCIDENT.
5.4 A DECISION WILL BE RENDERED AND REPORTED TO THE EXECUTIVE BOARD.
5.5 THE EXECUTIVE BOARD WILL ENFORCE THE DECISION.
SECTION 6 RULES AND REGULATIONS
6.1 OFFICIALS POSITIONS
AND THEIR DESCRIPTIONS ARE LISTED IN THE CONSTITUTION.
6.2 RULE CHANGES AND CLASS MODIFICATIONS MAY BE DISCUSSED AND VOTED
ON UNDER ARTICLE 12 OF THE CONSTITUTION.
6.3 ANNUAL DUES ARE $40.00 AND ARE DUE JANUARY, 1 OF EACH YEAR.
6.4 ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION BY THE ELECTED OFFICERS
OF THE CLUB AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT IMMEDIATE NOTICE.
ALL CHANGES WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT EARLIEST POSSIBLE
OPPORTUNITY.
King of the Ant Hill:
Basically desired to be XR75/80 and similar machine/pit bike class.
Legal machines include: Honda XR, XL, SL, CT 70-80cc Mini Enduro,
GT80, TM75, Gaucho 50 Rupp Etc..
No production or custom MX bikes. No factory race bikes: YZ, CR, RM,
KX Hodakas or any other MXer
Bikes must be air cooled, twin shock, drum brakes, 17 in front wheel
max and period correct suspension.
Period mods acceptable are: Webco Heads, porting, carb, intakes,
cams pipes, swing arms.
Shocks may be laid down or moved forward, but must remain period
correct and kept to correct travel.
NO BIG BORE KITS 80cc MAX
King of the Fire Ant Hill:
80cc 2 stroke, 100cc 4 stroke limits.
Air cooled, drum brakes, twin shocks (except for YZ or period
correct DG style specials).
Shocks may be laid down or moved forward, but must remain period
correct and kept to correct travel.
Any engine mods go as long as it does not
exceed the displacement limit. 19" front wheel maximum size
|
